So right now I am suppose to be studying for my humanities class along with my science class. This is the last week of studying and next week is a test or review or something insignificant and unnecessary. But I am at that point where I just want to do nothing! I have come to a conclusion that school is for fools most of the time when it comes down to the busy work and pointless assignments that do nothing except tell a teacher we read an article. Don't get me wrong I love learning new things as much as the next person and I love expoounding on things but it is when teachers give us busy work or group assignments that I get restless and bored and tired of school. I mean come on, when it comes group projects how often does it happen when one of the group members does all the work and the rest just sluff off. No one learns anything and the credit you get is either earned by yourself if you're the lucky member to do all the work or someone else earns the grade for you.
But busy work would have to be the biggest annoyance(I don't think I spelled that right...) of my life. It does nothing other than prove I read something. I am sure discussion boards and class blogs are a great idea but they should remain to be only an idea. 99% of the time I do the discussion board and right a whole bunch of nonsense to get it done without really thinking about it, just to get the credit. It is not beneficial in any way.
Those are the feelings of my life at this point....I feel much better getting them out and no longer bottling them up.

Surprise in Vancouver...
So Saturday was interesting day and say this because it was good and it was bad, so interesting is the word of description at this point. I had the wonderful privilege of working an 8 hour shift on Saturday. I really am spoiled now with the fact that I no longer have to work Saturdays, so now i have a normal weekend of Saturday and Sunday. The day started out slow on Saturday, people apparently like sleeping in on Saturdays for who knows what reason! lol I had my lunch which consisted of a pepperoni pizza Hot Pocket. Yummy, I know.
So I recieved a call from Lorraine my roomie who lives in Cali. She and her family had driven to Seattle for Thanksgiving and were driving to Vancouver! So we had a brief reunion for thirty mins! It was so surreal to have her there in Vancouver because she is not suppose to be here, we are suppose to be together in Rexburg. We had a great time. I got to meet her family and they were all nice and fun to be around! It was great! The only regrets is that it was such a short reunion and that Daniella, Heather, and CT were not with us.

Our Reunion documented! Oh Lorrainey!
Elder Nathan Wilde came to visit all the way from Kansas!
So work was great though, I got to create super cute displays, and I also had the privilege of completing a massive consignment. I started the consignment at 12:30pm, and took thirty mins to see Lorraine, and another thirty mins to completely some other small consignments. I took a total of 149 pieces of clothing and accessories, and it took me 3 hours and thirty mins to complete it. It was INSANE! But it was a nice project to have to keep me busy till 5pm when I got to clock out for the day. :)
This is the consignemnt. It was 4 piles of clothes that were two to three feet high, and purses and shoes. MASSIVE!
So after work I had a delectable meal of fish and chips from Burgerville, my fave! I went home and realized that I was locked out of my house, and that I had locked the garage door that you use to get into the house. So I walked to the neighbors who were suppose to take Jack out that day for a potty break and walk thinking they had key, but to my horror, there was no key and Jack had been locked in the house for almost 10 hours! We finally got into the house and Jack was excited to see us, which is an understatement because he practically ran me over to get outside! He had no accidents in all 10 hours! What a good puppy!!!!
So I spent a couple hours with Jack and then the Boyfriend came over to pick me up. We went to see New Moon, and James was a really good sport about it other than pretending to gag through out all the cheesy cliche scenes. lol Well let's just say that if you want to enjoy a movie that your boyfriend doesn't want to see, don't take him because it detracts from the movie. lol After the movie we walked out to the car and James had driven the Neon and had left the lights on and the battery definitely died! We were stranded at midnight in the movie theater parking lot. I called Uncle Bear to come save us and he sent Taira out with jumper cables. I can hardly believe that little Tee Tee can drive NOW!!! Well 30 seconds before Taira got there we tried starting the car and it started! YAY! Then Taira pulled up. So all in all an interesing day. lol
Thanksgiving
So it is that time of year where you learn to reflect on the year, express gratitude, give presents, and also it is that time of the year when glutony is a worldwide accepted practice. I mean come on, when there are holidays there is food and then I can't stop eating the sweets and delish dishes.
So this year the family went to Sunriver for Thanksgiving. It was the Davies clan right along with Grandma and Grandpa, an added member to the group for the wonderful holiday feast was the boyfriend, James Grant. I had to work and so did James, so we didn't leave til like 4pm on Wednesday, and traffic was a nightmare! It took me and hour and a half to pick James up in Beaverton from work and then another 5 hours to get to Sunriver. But after the great drive, we had a wonderful time!
On Thanksgiving day we watch the Macy's Thanksgiving day parade on the telly, watched football, went on marvelous walks, played card games, and cooked. Brooke and I both made our famous dishes. I made my stuffed mushrooms, and Brooke made her artichoke dip. Both were hits. James and I decided to take a walk before dinner, you know burn the calories before the meal. lol Well we walked farther than we thought and after we started walking back we thought we got lost!!! So we called for rescue! But I have to explain...all the streets and paths in Sunriver looke the same and the houses looke the same. SO it is hard to distinguish one direction from another. The family saved us and it turned out that we were on the right path to the house but we had walked farther than we had thought, and that is why we thought we were lost.
Dinner was AMAZING! I love thanksgiving meals, and it is definitely my fave holiday! We watched more movies, ate more, played more games, and just had a wonderful time. Unfortunately I had to work the next Friday and Saturday, so the family stayed in Sunriver thru Sunday and James and I returned the good ol Couve.
Here are some pics from Sunriver:

Leaving the teen years...
Well, I have been the sparkling age of 20 years for quite some time now. Try like two weeks. I feel that this is the appropriate length of time to report on coming of age. I feel that now I am officially a young adult. I mean it is kind of embarassing to tell people who you know are 21 or 22 or even 23 that you are just the quaint age of 19. But now I can proudly say that I have experienced two decades of life. That is quite the accomplishment I like to think.
Well my birthday was fabulous. I spent most of it with my Grandma Smith. I woke up and opened my parents present which is what I wanted most and needed most! Fat quarters for my quilt! I am making a beautiful yellow, white, black, and gray quilt for my comforter at school. It is going to be beautiful! I then went to my grandma's and ran some errands. We met up with my beautiful mother at Chevy's and experienced a delious meal of chips and salsa and my fave entree, Santa Fe salad. I also went to the Olive Garden with my Mother and Father on the previous Saturday to celebrate too. That was a tasty experience! Love that parentals! :* Grandma and I then proceeded to work on my roomie Lorraine's birthday present! I also got to work on my quilt too which I was pumped about.
I came home and ate a great meal of taco salad for my birthday meal, which is my fave also! We had a family party which consisted of chocolate cake and the grandparents and Uncle Bear' s family. So all in all, it was a great day! I got chips and salsa, colbie caillat, money, peanut butter and mini chocolate chips! I also bought myself the Michael Buble cd "Crazy Love" which I highly recommend and love to pieces!
But there is a dowm side to getting old. I have been experience some abdominal pain and burning sensations in my chest. Well the family diagnosis is ulcers and heart burn! Ahh! It is miserable because sometimes it prevents me from eating my faves! So I am learning that you trade life experiences for physical ailments.
But 20 is good. I also was a facebook celebrity on my birthday! Everyone just loves you so much when you celebrate the day of birth. But age 20 so far, gets two thumbs up!

Well, I decided a couple of weeks ago that I am done with my boring old conservative hair cut! It is time to bring in the new and get rid of the drab! So I went to get my hair cut by this fabulous woman named Amanda! She has cut my hair once and I absolutely LOVED it but then I decided she was too expensive and I tried some other places well after a couple of fashion disastas I broke in decided to go back and I do not regrett it at all. One of my disastas is that one girl cut my hair uneven! That was embarassing and miserable to grow out and fix.
But they say that beauty is pain but here is what I have decided. That pain they talk about is your running the card and knowing that the bank account is depleting but might I add that as painful as that is it definitely makes up for the fact that when you get those great comments from everyone and you know that everyone is checking you out because you look that fabulous! lol

BALANCE!!!!!!!
Well right now I am sitting here thinking about my life and where I am going with my life. Right now it feels like it will be full of endless hours of working and studying and not a whole lot of anything else. I am not having much of a social life outside of work which is difficult. I feel like there is a whole lot of somethings and not a lot of other things. I think about the word balance and for some reason I always think of the picture of Lady Justice with her scales.
So my goal in life right now is to find balance. That sounds harder than it really is in the fact that how can I balance everything when I don't really know where to start? I have decided to join an indoor soccer team with the singles which will take place every Friday night. I have also decided to start a work out regiment of walking every morning(needless to say that regiment is slow in the uptaking). I have decided to start to study my scripture more thoroughly and more often. I have decided I need to be a heck of a lot better at writing my missionaries too! There is honestly not a better medicine for confusion and stress in life than to receive a letter from a missionary in the mail.
Sounds overwhelming doesnt it? Well let me tell you about my internet classes! I am retaking two classes that I took during the winter semester but because of illness and stupid choices in relation to boys. I hate every minute of it! I am rereading things that I have already read once and talking about things that I once vowed to never discuss again! I also thought I would escape the droll voice of Brother Anderson only to find that he narrates many of the long, monotone presentations that I frequently have to listen to. So I am saying now that NEVER will I have to retake any classes from this point forward and my parents can quote me on that! Its more pain that it is really worth.
I love the family time that I am getting though. It is great to spend time with the mom and the sister. My dad and I are home together in the mornings which is great because we get QUIET time! I feel a lot closer to my brothers Hunter and Garrett too. I have been helping them cook and bake and it is fun to see how they are growing and trying to become more like adolescent adults. I am grateful for this time with them. I love that we all love being together. I am really loving our nightly family scripture study and discussions about our goods and bads of the day. Nothing better than family time.
So BALANCE! Now i just have to figure out how to juggle it out in my little available hours of the day BUT I vow to accomplish this much needed balance! :)
