Surprise in Vancouver...

So Saturday was interesting day and say this because it was good and it was bad, so interesting is the word of description at this point. I had the wonderful privilege of working an 8 hour shift on Saturday. I really am spoiled now with the fact that I no longer have to work Saturdays, so now i have a normal weekend of Saturday and Sunday. The day started out slow on Saturday, people apparently like sleeping in on Saturdays for who knows what reason! lol I had my lunch which consisted of a pepperoni pizza Hot Pocket. Yummy, I know.

So I recieved a call from Lorraine my roomie who lives in Cali. She and her family had driven to Seattle for Thanksgiving and were driving to Vancouver! So we had a brief reunion for thirty mins! It was so surreal to have her there in Vancouver because she is not suppose to be here, we are suppose to be together in Rexburg. We had a great time. I got to meet her family and they were all nice and fun to be around! It was great! The only regrets is that it was such a short reunion and that Daniella, Heather, and CT were not with us.

Our Reunion documented! Oh Lorrainey!

Elder Nathan Wilde came to visit all the way from Kansas!

So work was great though, I got to create super cute displays, and I also had the privilege of completing a massive consignment. I started the consignment at 12:30pm, and took thirty mins to see Lorraine, and another thirty mins to completely some other small consignments. I took a total of 149 pieces of clothing and accessories, and it took me 3 hours and thirty mins to complete it. It was INSANE! But it was a nice project to have to keep me busy till 5pm when I got to clock out for the day. :)

This is the consignemnt. It was 4 piles of clothes that were two to three feet high, and purses and shoes. MASSIVE!

So after work I had a delectable meal of fish and chips from Burgerville, my fave! I went home and realized that I was locked out of my house, and that I had locked the garage door that you use to get into the house. So I walked to the neighbors who were suppose to take Jack out that day for a potty break and walk thinking they had key, but to my horror, there was no key and Jack had been locked in the house for almost 10 hours! We finally got into the house and Jack was excited to see us, which is an understatement because he practically ran me over to get outside! He had no accidents in all 10 hours! What a good puppy!!!!

So I spent a couple hours with Jack and then the Boyfriend came over to pick me up. We went to see New Moon, and James was a really good sport about it other than pretending to gag through out all the cheesy cliche scenes. lol Well let's just say that if you want to enjoy a movie that your boyfriend doesn't want to see, don't take him because it detracts from the movie. lol  After the movie we walked out to the car and James had driven the Neon and had left the lights on and the battery definitely died! We were stranded at midnight in the movie theater parking lot. I called Uncle Bear to come save us and he sent Taira out with jumper cables. I can hardly believe that little Tee Tee can drive NOW!!! Well 30 seconds before Taira got there we tried starting the car and it started! YAY! Then Taira pulled up. So all in all an interesing day. lol

Thanksgiving

So it is that time of year where you learn to reflect on the year, express gratitude, give presents, and also it is that time of the year when glutony is a worldwide accepted practice. I mean come on, when there are holidays there is food and then I can't stop eating the sweets and delish dishes.

So this year the family went to Sunriver for Thanksgiving. It was the Davies clan right along with Grandma and Grandpa, an added member to the group for the wonderful holiday feast was the boyfriend, James Grant. I had to work and so did James, so we didn't leave til like 4pm on Wednesday, and traffic was a nightmare! It took me and hour and a half to pick James up in Beaverton from work and then another 5 hours to get to Sunriver. But after the great drive, we had a wonderful time!

On Thanksgiving day we watch the Macy's Thanksgiving day parade on the telly, watched football, went on marvelous walks, played card games, and cooked. Brooke and I both made our famous dishes. I made my stuffed mushrooms, and Brooke made her artichoke dip. Both were hits. James and I decided to take a walk before dinner, you know burn the calories before the meal. lol Well we walked farther than we thought and after we started walking back we thought we got lost!!! So we called for rescue! But I have to explain...all the streets and paths in Sunriver looke the same and the houses looke the same. SO it is hard to distinguish one direction from another. The family saved us and it turned out that we were on the right path to the house but we had walked farther than we had thought, and that is why we thought we were lost.

Dinner was AMAZING! I love thanksgiving meals, and it is definitely my fave holiday! We watched more movies, ate more, played more games, and just had a wonderful time. Unfortunately I had to work the next Friday and Saturday, so the family stayed in Sunriver thru Sunday and James and I returned the good ol Couve.

Here are some pics from Sunriver:
